Concordville

Concordville is an unincorporated community in Concord Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Concordville is about 20 miles southwest from Philadelphia, and the intersection it’s placed at can be traced all of the ways back to the two earliest Pennsylvanian roads, the Baltimore Pike and Concord Pike. The area was first settled in about 1700 when the Quakers bought land from William Penn and the village has two Friends Meetinghouses. One Meetinghouse, the Orthodox, was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The other Meetinghouse was called Hicksite and it ended up taking over and merging with the other Meetinghouse. Part of Concordville was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
