Kimberton

Kimberton is an unincorporated community in East Pikeland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania with a population of about 7,900. The community was settled in the late 18th century, but it didn’t get its name until 1817. Kimberton, like many other villages in the area, was created around a tavern. Christman’s tavern became the backbone of the community, with the Chrisman’s Mill being opened in 1796. The Mill began to draw attention and people to the village after it began operating. The Mill was open and working until 1938, and it remains in the village. The Mill, however, is now the town’s post office.
