Kingston, NJ Propane

Home to nearly 1,500 people, Kingston is an unincorporated community and census-designated place along the border of the South Brunswick Township in Middlesex County and the Franklin Township in Somerset County, New Jersey. Although the community remains unincorporated today, residents share a common heritage going back to the 17th Century. What makes Kingston so unique is that it is the only tri-county community in New Jersey. The former Kings Highway and the Millstone River, which historically brought people together to live here, are now the boundaries that politically divide this historic village. To fully appreciate Kingston’s past, we must begin with the Assunpink Trail. This trail was used by the Lenni Lenape Indians to travel between the Delaware River and the Raritan River. This trail roughly corresponds with today’s Route 27. General George Washington’s victory at the Battle of Princeton on January 3, 1777, turned the tide of the Revolution. Washington led his weary troops along the King’s Highway to Kingston where Washington held his famous “conference on horseback.” During this conference, he and his officers decided to capture British supplies in New Brunswick en route to a camp in Morristown for the winter. Washington’s troops marched through Kingston again in June 1778 en route to the Battle of Monmouth. The event that was to forever change Kingston’s history, was the completion of the Delaware and Raritan Canal in 1834 by Irish immigrant laborers. Canal building started in Kingston in 1830 because of the good road network. Water transportation through central New Jersey meant that a broader market was available for farmers, businessmen, and factories.

With over 1,500 residents in the community, a reliable propane company is necessary to provide the best services to all of the families. Luckily for the residents of Kingston, Gastec provides the best of the best for their residential propane services. Simply cooking an egg on the stove uses residential propane, just like hot showers are heated by propane. Other uses for residential propane could be powering a backup generator, or even turning on the lights. There are so many different uses for residential propane. Do not be fooled into thinking the potential of Gastec stops there, as they also provide commercial propane services for the bigger projects out there. Commercial propane could be used to power the important buildings in the community. There is not a task too tough for our team here at Gastec. For years we even have been able to provide around-the-clock customer service for our clients to always have someone who can help. There is no reason to not use Gastec. Being a Pennsylvania-based company, we were able to expand our reach by giving our clients propane delivery services through Delaware and New Jersey as well.
