Devon is a town located in Easttown Township in Chester County, Pennsylvania. The population is around 1,500 and it is included in Philadelphia’s Main Line suburbs. Devon, Pennsylvania is home to the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. Known for being the oldest and biggest outdoor competition for multi-breed horses, the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair has been held every year between late May and early June since 1896. The Devon Horse Show and County Fair is a fundraiser for the Bryn Mawr Hospital, and it attracts people from every place and walk of life. People come from around the world to either compete or watch as horses and their riders go through in-hand, jumping, hunting, carriage, and gaited events. The first Devon Horse Show and County Fair held on July 2, 1896, was a one-day event at the Devon Race Track and Polo Grounds. The first horse show included 30 classes, with the largest one consisting of only ten entries. There is also a Dressage at Devon event held in September, from the 26th to the 30th.
Devon, PA was also home to the Valley Forge Music Fair, which consisted of hundreds of musical and comedy acts from 1955 to 1996. The Valley Forge Music Fair saw acts such as The Beach Boys, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, and more. The Music Fair began as a tent in 1955 but eventually became a permanent building that inspired many others.
Devon, Pennsylvania may be home to those events, but it also includes our Pennsylvania-based propane company called Gastec. Our company, Gastec provides many propane services to the community. We like to boast that “no job is too big or too small” because we make sure that we can help our customers with whatever they may need assistance with regarding propane. Propane is a great clean resource that can be used in residential or commercial settings. Residential propane works for things such as keeping your home nice and toasty during the cold weather, cooking a lovely meal for you and your family, or keeping the lights and power on during the event of a power outage or other emergency. Where residential propane is used in your average house or neighborhood, commercial propane does things like powering commercial buildings and fueling buses or forklifts. Propane can do so many different things, and it can help so many different people. Not only do we have many propane services that their customers can rely on but we also offer those services at incredible prices. Our prices rival all of the other propane companies in Pennsylvania, and we work with our customers to find a price that is right for them.
