Unionville

Unionville is a very small unincorporated community located in East Marlborough Township in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. The community has a population of around 205 lovely people and it’s a part of the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District. The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District includes Unionville High School, Charles F. Patton Middle School, Unionville Elementary School, Hillendale Elementary School, Pocopson Elementary School, and Chadds Ford Elementary School. Unionville was originally known as Jacksonville, Pennsylvania. The Unionville Village Historic District is a part of the National Register of Historic Places, and it was added to that list in 1979. 

The Unionville Village Historic District includes 69 buildings. Some notable buildings in that 69 include the Unionville Academy, the country store, Union Hotel, Cross Keys Inn, Unionville Saddle Shop, Unionville Hall, Grange Hall, and Green Lawn Seminary. Grange Hall was originally known as the Friends Meetinghouse.
